Anne Elizabeth Roseberry, born on 28 June 1954 in England, is a British music manager and former A&R executive who spent decades at Island Records, Elektra Records, and Sony Music before founding her own management company. Most people encounter her name while researching the family of her elder son, actor Jamie Campbell Bower, but Roseberry’s own career in the music industry — including a documented role in the signing of U2 — predates her son’s fame by years.
She goes by Annie Roseberry professionally and has operated under both AR Productions and Roseberry Music Productions since approximately 1990. She is based in the UK and continues to manage classical and electronic artists.

Daughter of Two Classical Musicians
Roseberry grew up in a household saturated with serious music. Her father, Eric Norman Roseberry, was a noted British musicologist, pianist, organist, and writer who spent his career studying Benjamin Britten and Dmitri Shostakovich. He lectured at the University of Sussex and Newton Park College (now Bath Spa University), produced orchestral programmes for the BBC, and published in journals including The Musical Times and Tempo. He died in Bath on 26 February 2012 at the age of 81. His Guardian obituary lists his surviving daughters as Anne, Catherine, Margaret, and Bridget — all from his first marriage to Elspeth Mary Campbell.
Her mother, Elspeth Mary Campbell, was born on 6 December 1929, according to Burke’s Peerage. Through the Campbell line, the family descends from Sir John Campbell of Airds, a nineteenth-century Scottish lawyer who served as Lieutenant Governor of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines — a genealogical connection later noted in profiles of Jamie Campbell Bower.
At the 2023 SPOT Festival in Denmark, Roseberry described herself as “the daughter of two classical musicians” and said music was “in my blood.” She studied for a BA (Hons) in Music at the University of Sussex between 1973 and 1977. She initially considered becoming a violinist but ultimately decided against performing: “I started off wanting to be a Producer but ended up by chance in A&R and turned out to be quite good at it.”
The A&R Career: Island Records, CBS/Sony, and Elektra
Roseberry joined Island Records around 1980 as a junior A&R manager. According to her LinkedIn profile, she worked there until approximately 1982, during which time she was involved with artists including U2, Killing Joke, and Marianne Faithfull.
Her role in the U2 signing is documented in her own firsthand account, preserved by the music archive MusicDayz. She recalled attending one of the band’s early concerts at Queen Mary’s College, Belfast, describing how she was “totally knocked out” despite the near-empty venue. She recommended that Island pursue the band, a recommendation that ultimately reached label founder Chris Blackwell in Jamaica. U2 signed with Island Records in 1980.
From Island, she moved to CBS/Sony, where she served as Head of A&R for the Epic Label from 1982 to around 1989. She then became Vice President of A&R at Elektra Records, part of Warner Music Group, working between London and New York from approximately 1989 to 1994. She later held the title of Head of A&R, Commercial Division, at Sony Music Entertainment.
Roseberry Music Productions
Around 1990, while still holding major-label positions, Roseberry founded her own company — initially operating as AR Productions, now also known as Roseberry Music Productions. The company specialises in managing classical and electronic artists and composers.
Her primary current client is Danish composer Henrik Lindstrand, who releases solo records through One Little Independent and is represented for publishing by Mute Song. Lindstrand’s own website lists Roseberry as his management contact. Her company website, updated as recently as July 2025, also lists Beyond Skies as a represented project.
Roseberry has also provided consultancy services to Sony Music and Wise Music, according to her LinkedIn profile. She has hosted episodes of BBC Radio 3’s Night Tracks, as referenced on her X (formerly Twitter) account, @arproductions1.
Marriage, Children, and the “Campbell Bower” Name
Roseberry is married to David Bower, who has worked for the Gibson Guitar Corporation. They have two sons: Jamie Campbell Bower, born on 22 November 1988 in London, and Samuel Bower, born on 21 February 1994.
The “Campbell” in Jamie’s name traces directly to his maternal grandmother, Elspeth Mary Campbell. Jamie has gone on to become one of the most recognisable British actors of his generation — his portrayal of Vecna in Stranger Things seasons four and five brought global fame, and his other credits span Sweeney Todd, the Twilight saga, and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.
Samuel Bower is a guitarist, musician, and sound designer. He played alongside Jamie in the London punk rock band Counterfeit from 2015 to 2020 and has continued to collaborate with his brother since.
Not from Tennessee — and Not a Public Figure by Choice
A recurring online question asks whether Anne Elizabeth Roseberry is from Tennessee. She is not. She is British, has lived and worked in England throughout her career, and her LinkedIn lists her current location in the Greater Guildford Area, UK. The confusion likely arises from the Roseberry surname’s presence in parts of the American South.
Roseberry maintains a minimal public profile. She has an Instagram account (@annie_roseberry) with roughly 350 followers, describing herself as a “music, nature, sauna and cold swimming fanatic” and “Pilates addict.” She does not give media interviews or appear at public entertainment events. No verified information about her net worth has been publicly disclosed; figures circulating on celebrity-net-worth sites are speculative and cite no primary sources.
